What is an exercise physiologist (EP)

EP – Hovey Exercise Physiology

EP – Exercise Physiology or otherwise referred to as an AEP, Accredited Exercise Physiologist. We are governed by ESSA – Exercise and Sport Science Australia.

Exercise Physiologist’s use movement or exercise to assist with management, improvement, or prevention of a wide range of injuries, illnesses, or diseases.

You can find exercise physiologists working in a range of facilities or areas. Such as hospitals, GP or other private clinics, gyms, professional sports clubs, or occupational rehab.

Typically, an EP would have completed an Exercise and Sport Science Degree and then completed a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
