About Hovey EP
Well, I am an exercise physiologist
After completion of a Bachelor in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Ballarat, I completed a year of personal training and then continued with studies and graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2015.
After graduating in 2015, I worked at a range of private clinics alongside physios, occupational therapist’s, dieticians, GPs, myotherapists, and had enjoyed learning more about their scopes along the way. I slowly commenced seeing clients through my own business then from October 2020, decided it was time that I took a leap and opened some doors of my own, officially establishing Hovey Exercise Physiology in Maddingley.
The best part of the discipline I work in is a defined split between the science and the outcomes. Science is forever progressing, developing, and creating a new hypothesis to crack. I live by the saying, “if you are not learning, you are not growing.”
Helping people reach their goals and return to an activity they felt unable to do for some time is fulfilling, and I am grateful for the studies I have undertaken to assist people to find the light at the end of their tunnel.
My mission is to make people aware of just how much they CAN do.
You are strong. You can be active. Sometimes, we need some guidance.
Outside work, I enjoy playing netball, hiking around national parks, and spending my summers at the beach.
