There are many different ways an AEP can assist someone with their health, unfortunately it is lessen common than not that you will see a health professional and have multiple health concerns occurring simultaneously. AEP’s are qualified to work with quite the variety of illness and injuries

Let’s break this down a little, shall we


A very broad subheading in which covers a range of conditions and aches. Arthritis conditions, an upcoming or previous surgery such as a hip or knee replacement, low back pain, or just wanting to improve your health and wellbeing to keep up with the grandkids.

If you’ve had an ankle sprain that isn’t quite right or a previous hamstring strain that plays up whenever you get back into football. Getting assessed and a program implemented to keep you on the field for your full season


Metabolic conditions such as type 1, 2 or gestational diabetes mellitus or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), both of which are often accompanied by other health factors and can be well managed with healthy behaviour change.

Mental health

Depression, anxiety, Aspergers, schizophrenia, or even increased stress levels can have a major effect on your well-being. Exercise has been shown to assist with mental health management and reduce extreme ups and downs.


A wide range of conditions from high blood pressure or cholesterol levels to post heart attack or COPD. A focus on healthy heart and lungs to keep you active in the home and community.


A fall, stroke, tumor, or vehicle accident may cause a brain injury, an AEP can work with you to restore your balance, mobility, pain and strength.

Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, migraines and spinal cord injuries are examples of other areas.

Developmental disorders

Autism having such a wide spectrum, every single person is so different – and there desire to move can be a challenge in itself. Finding enjoyable activities for each person that lead to improvements in their well-being is the number one goal.

Post COVID-19 Recovery

COVID-19 has been shown to leave lingering symptoms, such as fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, muscle pain, depression, and anxiety to name a few. All of which can be assisted through exercise prescription.
